We were blessed to have Liana, Zackary and Aaron come visit us for a week over Thanksgiving! We had so much fun at the park, shopping, bouncing at a local bounce place and so much more. In my opinion the best part was the delicious Thanksgiving dinner I made. Jason had to work on Thanksgiving but it was okay because we had great company to keep us occupied! Lots of great pictures of our week are included in the slide show above.

New Best Friends

With Ryan at school a majority of the day, Dylan and Rebecca become new best friends. They play all sorts of things together but they have the most fun when they are getting into trouble together. Check out some of the trouble and fun they've been having recently...

Fall Flag Football

The boys had another great season doing flag football. They won some and they lost some but all in all they enjoyed themselves and learned new skills. Ryan is now on the Kindergarten and 1st Grade team. Dylan played on the preschool age team. Ryan really loves football and I seem him continuing to play each year. Dylan however has days when he loves it and days when he doesn't, so we may try him in baseball in the spring instead of football next year.

Here is a picture of Ryan's team the Bulls. (Dylan's team picture hasn't been taken yet but I'll post it once we have taken it.)

Fair fun!

On Friday we went to the Permian Basin Fair in Odessa. We expected it to be similar to the San Juan County fair so we were in for a great surprise when we arrived and realized it was more like the New Mexico State Fair. There was several shows, lots of bands, a huge (affordable) carnival, exhibits, animals and so much more. We went opening night so we also enjoyed some fireworks at the end of the night. We were there for a total of 5 hours but every minute was full of fun for everyone. Now we all can't wait to go back next year. Check out this slide show that highlights some pictures from the fair.

Check ups!

After dropping Ryan off at school on Monday we took Rebecca and Dylan to a new Pediatrician here in Midland for a check up. We had to wait a while for them to be seen and the kids made the most of that time by taking turns pushing each other around on the doctors chair. Rebecca was laughing so hard when she was pushing Dylan...it was so funny to watch.

**Dylan weighs 38lbs and is 38 1/2in (90% for weight & 75% for height).

*Rebecca is 21lbs and 28in (50% for weight & 25% for height).

1st Day @ Kindergarten!

Here is Ryan all ready for his first day of Kindergarten! He was so excited about going to school. He was even more excited about the new school clothes, shoes, socks, shoes, back pack, and items he would be getting to use for the first time. ;-)

It was bitter sweet for Jason and I...he is becoming a big boy, becoming more independent and will now be in school for the next 13 years of his life! Ryan was so excited but a little nervous when we got to the school. I shed a few tears but I waited until we were out of the building so he wouldn't see me. Our "baby" is now a kindergartner, going to school all day from 7:45am to 3:20pm. Wow, is all I can say!

Below is a scrapbook I create of all the pictures we took the morning Ryan started school.

ABQ Zoo

On our way home from Farmington we made a stop in ABQ to visit the zoo and aquarium. (It was perfect timing because it broke our trip home up a little so the kids weren't as restless in the van.) The kids had so much fun and got so much energy out at the zoo and aquarium. The gray skies began rolling in on our train back to the zoo and shortly after we got off the train it started pouring rain. We ran through the zoo, taking shelter from time to time when the rain got really heavy. Despite getting rained out we had a wonderful time at the zoo and aquarium!

Check out a few pictures we took of our day!

Summer fun in Farmington,NM

While we were visiting in Farmington we sent swimming at the Bloomfield pool and the Durango Rec Center. The boys are so much more comfortable in the water this summer. They swim very well and will be fishes by the end of next summer. They both even got brave enough to go down the slides at both pools! Ryan had so much fun on the slides he just wanted to keep going!!

It was great to spend time with family and friends while in Farmington. Below is a slide show of our swimming fun!

Party, party, party! Ryan is 5!

Wow, I have no words for the fact that Ryan is 5 now! These years go by faster and faster. We've watched him go from being a small baby to a big boy. Soon he'll be off to Kindergarten and before we know it he'll be headed to college and beyond.

He's grown into quite a boy. He is a very caring and helpful big brother. Despite his first year when he didn't like to cuddle, he now loves to cuddle and we take advantage of it because it won't be long before he decides he is "too cool" for cuddles. He is still Mr. Independent, always taking the initiative in life. He aspires to become many things but on the top of his list is husband and father. =)

We drove up to Farmington, NM for a week to celebrate Ryan's and Rebecca's birthday with family. Plus visit friends and family. Here is a photo book of their party!

Rebecca's 1st Birthday!!

It's hard to believe it has been one whole year since we welcome Rebecca Lynn to our family and world. She has been a wonderful addition to our fun, crazy bunch. It is amazing how much she has grown over the year. She started out as a quiet baby that required very little and has evolved into a very demanding, incredibly loud, stubborn, beautiful, healthy, sweet, lovely little girl. We can't wait to see how much more she grows and learns over this coming year!

We started Becca's 1st birthday with donuts and milk, followed by a trip to the Children's Museum in Midland, then to the toy store to pick out a gift for her, and home for cupcakes!

Check out our fun filled day in the scrapbook below!

4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July, rain and all. Luckily the fireworks didn't end up getting rained out. However just about everything else around the area did, including parade, parties, etc. We managed to still enjoy the 4th of July here. Hopefully next year we will get the full festivities the area has to offer!

Family Pictures

While Liana, Zackary, and Aaron were in town we asked Liana to take pictures of our family. They all turned out wonderful despite the really hot temps, bright sun, and grouchy kids. ;-)

Father's Day 2010!

We celebrated Father's Day with BBQ! We figured what better way to tell Jason we love and appreciate him than BBQ for dinner!

The boys and I also made him "mud pudding" for dessert, complete with worms and dirt! =)

Mother's Day Love!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day that started Saturday night with dinner at Olive Garden. Then the kids let me sleep in a bit before going to McDonald's for a quick breakfast then running errands...one of which was buying me a new purse that I have wanted for a while now! We came home to clean and do laundry which I was totally fine with because I was spending it with my beautiful family!! Jason also bbq'd us some steaks for dinner, yummy!

I am so blessed to have three wonderful children! I am also blessed to have a wonderful mom that paved the way for me to become the mother and person I am today!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there!!

Moving from NM to TX

Well I can finally officially say that we are Texan's, lol. We made the move from our house in Farmington to an apartment in Midland, TX. It was a fast and furious move...we found an apartment on Thursday, found out our house was going to get a lease on it finally on Friday so we headed to Farmington on Saturday morning. We spent all day Sunday and Monday packing, loading, and cleaning. Woke up early on Tuesday to finish loading the last few things and hit the road to TX. We arrived at our new house on Tuesday night late so we got up early Wednesday and spent all day unloading the truck. Thursday we had to return the truck so we finished unloading the last few items and took it back. When we returned to the apartment we started unpacking. By Friday we had everything unpacked and in it's place!!

It feels great to have our family all together again. We like our new apartment and so far we enjoy Midland very much! The boys are already signed up for spring flag football and we enrolled Ryan for Kindergarten next year!

We are so grateful for all the help we received in Farmington with packing, loading, cleaning, and taking care of the kids!! We couldn't have done it with out all of our wonderful friends and family!

We do miss everyone in Farmington terribly but we are keeping in mind that we will be back to visit at the end of July!!

Enjoy this slide show of our move including pictures of our house in Farmington, our traveling, and new apartment in Midland!

Happy 3rd Birthday!!

Dylan was very lucky boy that got to celebrate his 3rd birthday several times! Once on Easter with Grandma Dixie and all his cousins, once at Chuck E Cheese's in Las Cruces with Yaya, Papa, Aaron and the Zoll's, once in Midland, TX at Chuck E Cheese's with just our family, and then again with Yaya and Papa in Farmington just before we moved. =)

He got some great presents that included books, clothes, big boy underwear, skate board, helmet, arm and knee pads, sword, and a scooter/skate board!!

I must admit that Dylan turning 3 came up much quicker than I had anticipated. I can't believe how fast the last 3 years have gone. He is 3 going on 13...no kidding. He has the attitude of a teenager. Dylan has always been ahead with his milestones like talking, walking, etc which I think is because he wants to keep up with big brother Ryan. He is so stubborn and hard headed but then again he is so darn sweet. It is tough to stay mad at him because he is constantly telling us "I love you!" and coming over randomly to give us hugs and kisses.

He loves his brother and sister so very much. He is always giving Rebecca hugs and wanting to help us with her.

Dylan hit a big milestone just before he turned three...he got potty trained!! All on his own he came to me a couple days before we left for Southern NM and said he wanted to wear big boy underwear. Now of course he has had a few accidents but really nothing to complain about just him trying to figure things out. He even wore underwear on our long drives to Las Cruces and Odessa. I am so very proud of him!!

Here is a look at Dylan from birth to now! Happy 3rd Birthday Dylan!! We love you!!

Traveling...

The kids and I headed to southern New Mexico to help my sister and brother in law pack up this weekend. This was the first time we were meeting Zackary, Liana and Jeremy's new baby. We had a great weekend with them that included celebrating Dylan's 3rd birthday at Chuck E Cheese's, swimming, bumper boats, and go carts!!

From there we headed to Texas to spend some time with Jason. Plus I have a luncheon in Arizona to attend and Jason is keeping the kids while I'm away.

Easter 2010!

We had the best Easter weekend that started with a surprise visit from Jason. He was supposed to be in TX but instead he traveled through the night to spend his weekend off with us! =)

With Jason in town we had to spend every minute we could together so we enjoyed some time at the park flying kites, coloring eggs for Easter, and spending time with all of our family.

Here is a scrapbook slideshow of our fun weekend!!

After the weekend was over we decided to have Jason take a week off of work to help me pack more of the house and get things fixed up around the house and back yard! We spent every single day working from early morning until late into the night to get everything done we needed to. At the end of the week we had 75% of the house packed, 7 yds of sand filled in around the artificial grass in the back yard, bathrooms and boys' room painted, and much more! We're hoping it will do the trick to get the house rented!!
