Get outta here!!

Rebecca was screaming at Dylan because he was trying to sneak in on her picture time!! I don't think she is going to let her big brothers bully her...she is going to be feisty like her mommy. ;-)

Sledding in 2010!!

We have had several snow storms come through Farmington throughout the week....

Tuesday morning we woke to a couple inches of snow on the ground and Ryan's school got canceled. By 10am that morning the snow was melted and the roads were almost dry. Wednesday morning we woke up to about the same amount of snow and once again Ryan's school was canceled. The snow was melted by about noon that day. Thursday we woke up to about 3 or 4 inches of snow and school was canceled. (I'm sure you are seeing the trend this week has had.)

It snowed all day long Thursday, giving us about 6 to 8 inches by late afternoon. It was great because we were able to go play in it after the boys woke up from their naps. We even built a snowman!! He is wearing Jason's hard hat so we called him "Snowman Dad". The boys even gave "Snowman Dad" a hug because they miss their daddy!

By Thursday night it was pretty apparent that school would be canceled because the worst of all the storms was supposed to hit over night. Needless to say school was canceled but we had an even better day!! First we slept in, until 8am, then we cleaned up around the house and got ready to go sledding in Aztec at my parents house. Once at my parent's we ate lunch and got all bundled up to sled. Dylan only lasted about 15 minutes before he was too wet and cold to enjoy it, the snow was up to his knees so he kept falling which didn't help matters any. Ryan would have stayed out there all afternoon and evening if we had let him. He is a crazy man on the sled...going backwards, running and jumping to slide on it, going on his stomach and back. Rebecca was in the house napping during all the fun, but I'm hoping next year she'll get a chance to play in the snow.

We had a WONDERFUL day playing in the snow!!

~Going Away Party~

Since we are moving in a couple weeks I decided to throw a party for the kids to see all their MOMS Club friends before we moved. It worked out great because Monday was a holiday so all the children were out of school for the day. It was nothing fancy just games and a movie for the kids while the moms chit chatted in the kitchen/dining room. It was great to spend the day with so many of our MC friends!! We sure will miss all of the friends we have made here!!!!

(1st Pic)Here are the boys with some of their friends watching a movie. (2nd Pic)Rebecca is being held by Lessie and her daughter, Summer. (3rd Pic)These are just a few of the many friends I have made through MOMS Club!

My Silly Dilly!

After I got the kids out of the bath I laid Rebecca down on the rug in her room to play while I helped the boys get dressed. After I left the room she began to fuss so I finished getting Dylan ready then sent him in to give her "A" toy to play with. Once Ryan was dressed I came in Becca's room to check on them, this is what I found....
There were actually a few more toys on her when I found them but by the time I got the camera out she had managed to wiggle them off of herself.

Of course then Ryan wanted a turn to lay by Becca to have his picture taken as well!

Rebecca: 6 Months Old!!

I am just in shock that Rebecca is already 6 months old! The nine months while I was pregnant went by so fast (most of time I'd forget I was even pregnant) and I had really hoped that things would slow down once she was born so we could really enjoy her first year however that is not the case so far. Not that we don't enjoy everyday, but just that she seems to be growing so quickly!!

She has reached several milestones over the last couple months including; sitting up on her own for short periods, babbling on and on, blowing bubbles, eating baby cereals and foods (fruits and veggies), plus drinking from a cup!! I haven't taken her for a 6 month check up yet but I will very soon so I'll post her stats once I have them!! She is very much a mama's girl, plus she also loves her Yaya(that is my mom). She already has serious separation anxiety if I am not in her sight...I have to trick her by playing peek-a-boo to walk away or leave the room and if I happen to walk past her once I have left the room then all heck breaks loose...she just screams until I come really close to her or hold her.

The boys absolutely LOVE her, taking any chance they can to hold her, play with her, talk or sing to her! They are both wonderful big brothers to Rebecca! She was a very happy baby today so I took some 6 months pictures of her. The one above is my favorite because she was laughing with her tongue out of her mouth and the one below has her beautiful smile showing as well as her bright blue eyes shining!

Ryan wanted me to let everyone know he has decided we should change her name to "Lady Bug Becca"...he said it is much more fitting since I love to dress her in lady bugs and her room is full of them!!

I Love My Kids!!

My three cutie pies!!

Ryan sure does love his little sister. Plus he makes a great big brother!!

Dylan is becoming a big boy these days!! I love this hair style on him!

Sweet Rebecca has been all smiles lately so I had to take advantage and snap some pics today!

We have a moving date!!

We were finally able to pin point a moving date for the kids and I to move to Odessa. Jason is already in Odessa...he began work on Monday and is enjoying it all so far! Anyhow, we will have the movers here packing us on February 4th, I'll be cleaning on the 5th, then we'll leave on the 6th.

Being that I will be traveling by myself with the kids I've decided to split the drive in half. So I'll drive to Liana's house in White Sands, NM on the 6th, stay the night there then drive the rest of the way on the 7th.

We are really going to miss all of our family and friends that we'll be leaving here!!

Moving Update

Are you talking to me?? (She got her phone skills from her mama!!)

Well it's been a few weeks since my last post about our upcoming move. Jason is leaving for Odessa,TX this Sunday so he can begin work on Monday the 11th. The kids and I are staying behind to continue to try to sell the house, get loose ends tide up around here, and to pack.

As of right now I plan to have us packed and moving to Odessa sometime around February 12th. Once I am there I hope to find a home as quickly as possible. We will be renting and we have a good idea of where we would like to live (my brother-in-law has friends in the area and has been a big help in giving us good info about Odessa). Meanwhile Jason's company has a hotel suite for us in a hotel that is very kid friendly that even includes a huge indoor playground and mini golf.

We will keep our house on the market until the end of February before we find a renter if it hasn't sold yet. Jason's company is going to pay for a full service moving company to come in, pretty well pack us, move us, store our stuff for a few weeks, and then move it into our new home.

We will actually have an open house this Sunday...hopefully we get quite a few people through here on Sunday and maybe even some interest in this place. Our house is on the market at the rock bottom price, well under what it's value is but we want sell it and sell if fast!! Cross your fingers and wish us luck!!

I think we are all getting excited about our move!!!!

I wanted to post some random, very cute pictures of the kids that I've taken recently....

Ryan is going to be a performer one day...I can tell!

Dylan's two favorite things...dogs and bouncing around!

This is where Rebecca sits while we eat dinner now. She is teething so she loves her new little toys she got for Christmas!

I was able to dress Rebecca up for several occasions during the holidays...this is just one picture of her in an adorable outfit!

My Sleeping Kiddos!

During our lazy weekend, Jason called me into the living room where I found Dylan fast asleep on Jason's arm...too cute!!

I laid Rebecca on her changing table, left Ryan to watch her so I could grab a diaper, came back and she was completely asleep. You will notice that she is sucking her thumb...now we don't let her such her thumb however she sneaks it whenever possible. It was a funny sight to see her sleeping on her changing table!!

Bowling in Ignacio, CO

We wanted to take advantage of the time we had with my brother, sister-in-law, sister, and brother-in-law before the all had to return home so we decided to go bowling!! We hadn't been to the new bowling alley in Ignacio, CO so what better time than now. It worked out great because they had a device the kids could use to help roll their ball down the alley. Less work for the adults to help them plus they got a little more independence which they loved. It was a very fun day and if you live around here I would highly recommend taking your kids to that bowling alley!!

Merry Christmas 2009!!! (Continued 2)

..My mom and I spent most of the early afternoon making Christmas dinner. After dinner the kids laid down for a late night. We had a fun night playing games and with our new toys plus eating yummy foods! We had so much fun that we decided to stay at my parents house one extra night! Couldn't have had a better Christmas!!

Rebecca all tuckered out after opening gifts!

Liana and I playing a new hunting game Jason got for Christmas...the guys were all surprised at how well we were at the game!

Dylan having a blast with Ryan's new race track.

Christmas dinner!!!!

Merry Christmas 2009!! (Continued 1)

...Once we were done we headed to my parents house where we were staying the night. Once there we put Christmas pajamas on, set out cookies and milk for Santa, and put the kids to bed (proved to be a hard task because Aaron and Dylan were too excited to sleep so they stayed up until midnight).

To no surprise Dylan was first awake Christmas morning. He was very excited to see that he got a "pretend shoot gun" from Santa. I must say I have never been a fan of pretend or real guns however Dylan loves his Papa and Papa enjoys big game hunting. Dylan is beginning to show an interest in that as well. Anyhow, he loved his gift and couldn't wait for the other boys plus Rebecca to wake up to see their gifts.

We had to wake up Ryan, also not a surprise (he loves to sleep in). Ryan received a Hot Wheels Trick Tracks set from Santa!! Ryan loves cars especially Hot Wheels at the moment. Actually a couple weeks ago he told me that he wants to be a race car driver when he grows up.

Rebecca was woke by all the commotion going on in the living room. She received her first baby doll from Santa. Now who really knows if she likes it because it is too big for her to really play with at this time. She did really enjoy her little Christmas baby that Santa left in her stocking.

Now that everyone was awake we were able to begin opening gifts. The kids got lots of wonderful gifts from all of our family!! We'd like to take a minute to thank everyone that bought a gift for them this Christmas!! This year has been extremely trying on us so Christmas would not have been possible without the gifts from family!!

...

Merry Christmas 2009!

We just celebrated another wonderful Christmas!

A few days before Christmas we went to Bloomfield to exchange gifts with Jason's family. I have to start this by saying that it was a hectic night because Jason called me 1hr before we should be in Bloomfield to tell me the ambulance was on it's way to his work to pick him up and take him to the ER because he had dislocated his knee. After some scrambling around, my mother-in-law picked up the boys to take them to the family get together, and Rebecca and I headed to the hospital to pick Jason up. (He is fine now, just sore). We made it out to Bloomfield just in time to grab a quick bite to eat, open gifts, and head home.

On Christmas Eve we drove to Durango, CO to have dinner and exchange gifts with my step-dad's family. It was a great night (well except for the fact that my brother and sister both came down with the stomach flu that day so they weren't feeling very well that evening). The kids had a blast! ....

Snowflakes are falling on my tongue!

When we returned home the other night it was snowing out and I caught Jason, Ryan, and Dylan catching snowflakes on their tongues. Couldn't resist taking a picture!!

25 Days of Christmas!

Well with a little extra planning we managed to do one festive activity with the kids throughout the month of December. Some activities celebrated the Christmas holiday and others just helped celebrate winter. I defiantly want to continue doing this with our kids as a family tradition. It really was a great way to get in the mood for the season, especially considering how hectic everything has been trying to get the details of the upcoming move worked out. Anyhow here are a few more pictures of activities we did during the month.

Here the boys are playing in the snow!

We had several holiday parties to attend...this picture was taken at Ryan's class party.

Ofcourse we had to drive around and look at Christmas lights!
