Happy Valentines 2010!
My very adorable and lovable kids in their Valentines outfits! (The boys decided to give their sister a big kiss!)
Valentines Vacation
Well after almost a week away from the boys, Rebecca and I packed up and drove to White Sands on Thursday to visit Liana and Jeremy, meet Jason, and pick up the boys. Jason's car has been having mechanical issues for the last several weeks so he rode the Greyhound from Odessa to Las Cruces.
Friday we drove to Alamogordo to visit the local zoo and space museum. Ryan and Dylan were recovering from a cold and Rebecca had just started having symptoms of a cold so they weren't as happy as they normally are. We still enjoyed the time with Jason, Liana, and Jeremy!
We spent the day at Liana's house on Saturday...it was great to just hang out as a family, with no worries about moving or anything else for that matter.
Sunday morning we woke up and drove Jason back to Odessa. We decided to stay a few days and get to know the area. The kids and I loved it there but most of all we enjoyed spending time as a family. We got some of questions answered for our upcoming move plus got Jason's car fixed while we were there.
The kids and I had to leave Wednesday to start the drive home. I drove to Liana's house which is about 5 hours away. Then we stayed the night with them before driving another 6 hours home on Thursday.
Although it is nice being home, we miss Jason terribly and things just don't feel the same with our family living so far from each other right now. It was wonderful to spend Valentines with Jason, plus Liana and Jeremy!! I'll post an update on our move soon when we know more...
Weekend Getaway
I've been slacking a bit on this blog. Liana and Jeremy offered to take the boys for a week so we packed up and headed to Albuquerque to meet them. My parents were flying out on Sunday to go to Florida for a week so we drove down with them and spent some time with them as well as Liana and Jeremy. We went to the children's museum with everyone on Saturday. Sunday we went to a couple stores, ate lunch, and headed our seperate ways.
It wasn't easy being away from the boys for several days but it did give me time to pack and clean the house. It was also a nice because I got some one on one time with Rebecca.

Visit from Great Papa & Great Papa Dee
We got a visit from Great Papa (Hansen) and Great Papa Dee on Wednesday, February 3rd. They were driving through town on their way back to Utah from Florida so they stopped in for a quick visit.
They hadn't met Rebecca before, only seen pictures, so the boys were very excited to introduce her to them. The boys had so much fun wrestling around with Great Papa and giving Papa Dee endless hugs! They also had to play trains with them because they remembered how much Great Papa LOVES trains, just like they do!
Sure wish we lived closer but it is still wonderful to cherish the time we have with them!

Well Child Checks!
I took the kids to their well child check ups yesterday. Here are the results...
RYAN is 45lbs and 43inches @ 4 1/2 years old! He is very healthy and doing fantastic in school. He writes all the letters of the alphabet plus numbers one through ten, he writes and spells his own name, he identifies letters and numbers, we spell out a word while he writes it, plus his teacher said he is the only child in her pre-k classes that knows which letters are vowels. Ryan is full of life, active, that loves to be the center of attention. He has recently found out just how much he loves his dad's gameboy and his mom's computer. I never thought I would have to negotiate computer time with my 4 year old. He loves all the games on websites like playhouse Disney! He is hoping to play football and baseball in Odessa this summer! He loves singing, dancing, and school. Before we know it he'll be starting kindergarten.
DYLAN is 36lbs and 37inches @ 2 years and 9 months old! The doctor did a little assessment on Dylan while we were there and said that he is developmentally very ahead of other kids his age. He tries to keep up with his big brother plus loves to have Ryan teach him new things which is why I'm sure he is advanced in most areas. He talks in complete sentences, identifies shapes, feeds himself completely (he has done that since before he was one), kicks balls, throws things (not sure this is a good thing), runs, jumps, climbs, brushes his teeth, dresses himself (when he isn't grouchy and insisting mom do it), stacks and groups things, points at his body parts when you name them (i.e. belly button, eyes, ears, ect), counts to 13, identifies some letters, and sings the entire alphabet (along with many other songs). Dylan is our shyest child, hiding behind us until he feels comfortable around new people. He is also our lovey dovey child. He loves to give hugs and kisses!!
REBECCA is 15lbs and 26inches @ 6months and 14days old! She is doing everything she should be for her age...rolling over (from time to time), sitting by herself (for a couple minutes at a time), playing with toys, grabbing toys, playing with her feet (all the time), baby talking, smiling, and laughing. Plus she is doing a few things that are more advanced like feeding herself cookies and crackers, drinking from a cup with help from mom or dad, and eating baby food several times a day. Rebecca is so sweet. She is our easiest baby *knock on wood*. She is so content and can entertain herself very well. She loves getting attention from us and her brothers! She is somewhat of a mama's baby right now but as she gets older she seems to enjoy everyone equally. We couldn't ask for a happier, healthier baby!
The doctor said that all three kids are PERFECT!! I'd have to agree, for the most part. ;-)
Another Moving Update!
For Sale or Rent!!

Things with our house are just as frustrating. Our realtor held an open house this past Sunday but not one person showed up! Then yesterday we had another realtor call asking to show our house to his clients but then they cancelled at the last minute. Today we are supposed to have another couple come look at our house but I'm not holding my breath. We listed our house for rent this week but haven't had anyone interested yet.
We have decided that we can't afford to have the kids and myself move without first selling or renting our house. This means that our moving date of this weekend has been pushed back at least a week but it could be much longer. Our realtor is very hopeful that she can get a contract with a renter within the next week. Honestly, I'm not being very optimistic at this point therefore I doubt we'll get a renter anytime soon.
I know everyone keeps saying that things will work out but at this point everything just keeps falling apart more and more each day. Ryan's last day of school is tomorrow because we thought we were going to be moving...now I'm wondering if I should really pull him out of school if we may end up staying here for several more months.
There are just so many unknown things about this move. Actually I can't think of one thing that is for sure at this point. So I guess we'll keep trying to sell our house and take things one day at at time. I'll update everyone when/if they change!
